Enzyme peeling at a glance

An enzyme peeling is a gentle kind of peel. Instead of grains or strong acids, it works with enzymes from fruit. They loosen the bonds between dead skin flakes so that these come away more easily. How your skin responds is individual.

  • No scrubbing

No grains, no rubbing – the enzymes work gently on the skin.

  • A smooth skin feel

Many women find their skin feels smoother after the peel.

  • Ready for care

After the peel, your skin can take up the care that follows well.

  • For sensitive skin too

Enzyme peeling is considered a mild choice for sensitive skin.

How enzymes gently renew the skin

Your skin renews itself all the time: fine flakes come loose on the surface but often cling on for a while. An enzyme peeling helps to loosen them gently. The enzymes come from fruit such as papaya, pineapple or pumpkin. We apply the peel, leave it to work and then remove it carefully. Unlike peels with grains, the skin is not rubbed. Many clients feel only a slight warmth.

How your skin feels afterwards is individual – many women describe it as fresher and more cared for.

A good choice for sensitive skin

If your skin reacts quickly to rubbing or strong products, an enzyme peeling is a gentle way to treat it to a peel. In a chat beforehand, we check how your skin is at the moment and whether it has been treated recently. Then we tailor the time the peel stays on and the care to you. Many clients book enzyme peeling regularly as part of their skincare.

Many women find the part inside the mouth unfamiliar at first. If anything feels too intense, just say so and we will change the technique straight away.

How your enzyme peeling works

Every appointment begins with a short chat about your skin, your skincare and any recent treatments.

  1. A short skin analysis and consultation

  2. Gentle cleansing and preparation of the skin

  3. Applying the enzyme peel and letting it work

  4. Final care to calm your skin

Right for you if you like it gentle

Enzyme peeling is for women who:

  • have sensitive skin and are looking for a mild peel

  • notice dull or tired-looking skin

  • would like their skin to feel smoother and fresher

  • prefer to avoid peels with grains or strong acids

When we postpone the enzyme peeling

In these cases, we do not offer the enzyme peeling or we postpone your appointment:

  • Inflamed skin or acute infections on the face

  • Open wounds in the treatment area

  • Strong skin irritation or fresh sunburn

  • Recent dermatological treatments that make the skin more sensitive

  • Known intolerances to fruit enzymes

Enzyme peeling is a cosmetic treatment and does not replace medical treatment. If you are unsure, please get in touch before booking.

Frequently asked questions about the Enzyme Peeling Facial Treatment

Is enzyme peeling suitable for sensitive skin?

For many sensitive skin types, yes. The enzymes loosen skin flakes without the skin being rubbed. If you have acute inflammation or strong irritation, please get in touch before booking.

What does the enzyme peeling feel like?

Most clients find it pleasant. Some feel a slight warmth while the peel is working. If anything feels uncomfortable, just let us know – we will then remove the peel earlier.

What should I keep in mind after the peel?

Wear sun protection for the next few days and avoid strong sun. Skip other peels and harsh skincare products for a short while. This gives your skin time to settle.

How often can I have an enzyme peeling?

That depends on your skin. Many clients come regularly as part of their skincare. We are happy to discuss the right rhythm with you.

You can book your appointment online. If you have any questions, please get in touch via our contact page.

What is the difference from mesotherapy?

Enzyme peeling loosens dead skin flakes on the surface. Mesotherapy brings vitamins and actives into the upper layers of the skin without needles. More on the Mesotherapy Facial Treatment page.
